All of these services work roughly the same way. You get a special email address, newsletters arrive there, either because you forward them or because you subscribe with that address, and the service converts each issue into an ebook and emails it to your Kindle. The differences are price, how many newsletters the free plan covers, and extras like digests or a browser extension.

Which one should you pick?
If you read more than a few newsletters a month: Serifize
At $36 a year, Serifize is the cheapest unlimited plan of the services compared here, and it works with any newsletter that arrives by email: Substack, Beehiiv, Ghost, ConvertKit/Kit, Buttondown, Mailchimp and the rest. Each issue becomes a native Kindle ebook with its images and a generated cover, so it looks like a book in your library rather than a forwarded email.
If you only read a handful each month: Newsletter to Kindle's free plan
Newsletter to Kindle's free plan covers 25 emails a month, far more than anyone else's (Serifize's free plan covers 3). If a couple of weekly newsletters are all you want on your Kindle, their free plan may be all you need. Its own site recommends against converting image-heavy newsletters.
If you also want web articles and a browser extension: KTool
KTool is a broader "send anything to Kindle" tool, with browser extensions, mobile apps and article sending. Newsletter forwarding needs its Premium plan ($6.99/mo, or $48/yr).
If you only read Substack: Substack2Kindle
Substack2Kindle is $3.99 a month, a cent less than Serifize's monthly price. It only handles Substack and has no yearly plan, so over a year it costs more than Serifize's $36 annual plan.
If you want combined digests: Readbetter or InboxToKindle
Both can bundle several newsletters into one daily or weekly digest instead of one ebook per issue. They're the most expensive options for unlimited use ($83.88/yr and $100/yr).
The free do-it-yourself option
Every Kindle has a Send to Kindle email address, so you can forward any newsletter to it yourself. It costs nothing, but you have to forward every issue by hand, and Amazon converts the raw email, which often leaves broken layouts, tracking images and footers. It's fine for the occasional article. For regular reading, an automatic service saves a lot of fiddling. Our Substack to Kindle guide covers both approaches.
Questions
Do all of these need the "approved e-mail" step?
Yes. Amazon only accepts documents from addresses on your approved list, so with any service you add its sending address under Personal Document Settings. Here's how to do that on every Amazon store.
Do I need a Kindle device?
Any device or app with a Send to Kindle address works, including the Kindle apps for iOS and Android.
Can I keep my newsletters going to Gmail too?
Yes. Gmail can forward a copy to your service address while keeping the original. See how to auto-forward newsletters from Gmail.
